These Terms are the agreement between you and Payaanam for your use of our AI travel planner, live companion and memory app. Please read them carefully — by using the Service you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of these Terms
The Service is operated by [Legal entity name] (“Payaanam”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, accessing or using the Payaanam app or the website at payaanam.online, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
3. The Service
Payaanam helps you plan trips with an AI assistant, manage active journeys, collaborate on group trips, track expenses and packing, and store travel memories. We may add, change or remove features at any time. The Service is a planning and organisation tool — we are not a travel agent, tour operator, or booking provider, and we do not sell flights, hotels, tours, insurance or other travel products.
4. Your account
You register with an email and password, or via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
5. AI-generated content & travel information
Payaanam uses artificial intelligence and third-party data sources to generate itineraries, suggestions, place information, estimated costs and safety notes. This content is provided for convenience and inspiration only and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL TRAVEL DETAILS — INCLUDING VISAS, ENTRY REQUIREMENTS, BOOKINGS, PRICES, OPENING HOURS, TRANSPORT, HEALTH AND SAFETY CONDITIONS — WITH OFFICIAL AND AUTHORITATIVE SOURCES BEFORE MAKING ANY DECISION OR BOOKING. PAYAANAM DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUT AND IS NOT LIABLE FOR DECISIONS YOU MAKE BASED ON IT.
6. Your content
“Your content” means everything you add — trips, chat messages, photos, videos, expenses, packing items and documents. You retain ownership of your content.
You grant Payaanam a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display and transmit your content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including processing it through the AI and storage providers described in our Privacy Policy, and sharing it with members of a trip you choose to share). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual copies in backups or as required by law, and for shared content that remains with other trip members.
You represent that you own or have the rights to your content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or any law.
7. Shared & group trips
The owner who creates a trip controls its itinerary and may invite others via an invite code or link.
People who join become members: they can view the itinerary, add memories and split expenses, but cannot change the itinerary.
When you join or are invited to a trip, your name and email become visible to other members. Only share trips with people you trust.
Content you contribute to a shared trip may remain visible to other members after you leave. Your private AI chats remain private to you.
You are responsible for the invite links you generate and distribute.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
break any law, or use the Service for fraud, harassment or harm;
upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or that violates others' privacy or rights;
upload sensitive personal data of others without their consent;
attempt to access, probe, disrupt, reverse-engineer or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
use bots, scrapers or automated means to extract data, or resell or commercially exploit the Service without our permission;
misuse the AI to generate unlawful, harmful or abusive content, or to circumvent safety measures;
impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
9. Third-party services & links
The Service relies on third-party providers (for AI, search, maps/imagery, cloud hosting, notifications and analytics) and may link to third-party websites or content. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services or their content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Payaanam name, logo, software, design, text and graphics (excluding your content and third-party content), is owned by Payaanam and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial travel use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or create derivative works from the Service except as these Terms allow.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you acknowledge that policy.
12. Fees & paid features
The Service is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid plans or features, we will disclose pricing and any additional terms before you are charged, and any purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to those stores' terms. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
13. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content licence for residual copies, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
14. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT OR TRAVEL INFORMATION WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAYAANAM AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR TRAVEL COSTS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON AI OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 5,000 (OR EQUIVALENT).
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Payaanam harmless from claims, damages, losses and reasonable expenses arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
17. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, the courts at [City, State], India, will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. We encourage you to contact us first at support@payaanam.online so we can try to resolve any issue amicably.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
19. General
Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Payaanam regarding the Service.
Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale.
Force majeure: We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
